Biography of Mohammad Reza Kazemifar
Mohammad Reza Kazemifar has 34 years of artistic experience in the field of traditional Iranian singing.
He is a first-degree associate member of the Guild of Iranian Vocal Instructors and Singers.
He began professional vocal training at the age of thirteen under the guidance of his father, and from the age of nineteen, he studied for ten years with Master Karim Saleh Azimi and for six years with Ms. Hengameh Akhavan.
He collaborated for two years on the fusion of poetry and music with the late Dr. Hossein Omoumi and Maestro Mohammad Reza Lotfi.
He also participated in classes with Maestro Mohammad Reza Shajarian for one year.
Performance Background in Iran
He has given dozens of performances in prominent venues across the country, including Vahdat Hall, Roudaki Hall, Andisheh, Sooreh, Osveh, Ivan Shams, and the Arasbaran and Niavaran cultural centers, performing as the vocalist and leader of the “Samar” ensemble, as well as with the Pars and Golbang music ensembles.
He has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Master Milad Kiaei (santur) and Dr. Kiomars Piraglu (piano and santur) in live concert performances.
Performance Background in the United States
He has performed with the Grand Chakavak Orchestra under the direction and composition of Dr. Nader Mojad.
He has also collaborated with the Pezhvak Ensemble led by Behfar Bahadoran, the Rasa Music Ensemble under the direction of Farshid Mahjour, and Master Borhani (santur), and has taken part in cultural events such as the commemoration of Maestro Mohammad Reza Lotfi and Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr, alongside the Chakavak Orchestra under the leadership of Master Nader Mojad.

He has released two official works with the Samar Ensemble as both lead vocalist and ensemble director:
• Avaye Samar (visual format), published by Avaye Apadana
• Goftegooye Penhan (audio format), published by Hozeh Honari
Additionally, he collaborated on two audio projects titled Qalandarvar and Zoljanah with Dr. Emad Touhidi.
It is noteworthy that in Avaye Samar and Goftegooye Penhan, some of the compositions were based on poetry written by Mohammad Reza Kazemifar himself, with musical composition and arrangement by Mr. Ali Erfani.
