Samar Music Ensemble
Founded and directed by Mohammad Reza Kazemifar
The Samar Music Ensemble was founded in 2006 (1385 in the Iranian calendar) by Mohammad Reza Kazemifar, with the aim of promoting and revitalizing traditional and classical Iranian music. The ensemble gave its first official performance the following year at the Arasbaran Cultural Center in Tehran.
Following its debut, Samar continued its artistic activities through performances in various cultural associations and events. In December 2009, the ensemble performed a concert at Roudaki Hall, featuring compositions by Ali Erfani and under the leadership of Mohammadreza Kazemifar, once again capturing the attention of traditional music audiences. That same year, the group also performed at the Fajr Music Festival, as well as in venues such as Ivan Shams Hall, Sooreh Hall, and Osveh Cultural Center.
In the years that followed, Samar continued its participation in both the competitive and non-competitive sections of the Fajr Music Festival. In 2011, the ensemble held a major concert at the Andisheh Hall of Hozeh Honari.
In 2012, Samar participated in the Resistance Music Festival, delivering a remarkable and well-received performance. In July 2013, the group performed at the prestigious Vahdat Hall, drawing a warm reception from music lovers.
